Photographer based in Amsterdam
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kaan Sensoy was born in the past century in Istanbul, the year of the first man on the Moon. He became interested in photography at the age of thirteen before digital cameras appeared. He enjoyed working in dark rooms before studying an Associate Science (AS) degree in social anthropology at Istanbul University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) degree in cinema and television at the Fine Art Academy of Marmara University in Istanbul.
He worked for ten years as an editor, photographer, and director in the advertising industry in Istanbul before moving to Amsterdam in the year 2000.
He continued his career in the Netherlands as a director, CGI artist, and photographer. He also ran many visual arts workshops for youngsters in Amsterdam and made hundreds of TV programs about them for Dutch television.
Kaan has received many awards for his visual works and movie scripts. His work has featured on numerous platforms, from festivals and high-profile websites to magazines and other media, and he has also put on both solo and group photography exhibitions. His first photo book "Amsterdam Photo Guidebook" was published in May 2021. He has recently focused on architectural and fine-art photography and is also busy creating photography books.
He is a Press-card holder as a member of "National Union of Journalists" and an accredited member of AOP "The Association of Photographers"
